Liebe Leser/Dear all,
ganz fertig sind im Moment nur Claudias Osterdekorationen. Ansonsten ist sie fleißig am Backen, Schleifen, Polieren und Lackieren, damit sie dann wieder genug Material hat, um möglichst viele Teile bis zum Ostermarkt fertig zu machen.
Claudia's easter decoration is the only thing thats finished in the moment. She ist busy with baking, sanding, buffing and varnishing pedants, beads and decorations. So she'll have enough material to finish a lot of pieces until the easter-market starts.

Ich arbeite gerade an zwei Öllampen für den Garten, Terrasse oder Balkon. Nachher werde ich daran weiter arbeiten. Wie Ihr seht, werde ich sie mit Callas und Rosen dekorieren. Das finde ich gibt ein sommerliches Gefühl.
I'm working on two oil-lamps for the garden, terrace or balcony. Later in the afternoon I'll continue to work on them. As you see I'll decorate them with callas and roses. This flowers are giving a summerlike feeling, I think.

Die Dekoeier sind fertig/The decoration-eggs are ready

Liebe Leser/Dear reader,
heute möchte ich Euch nur ganz kurz zwei Bilder zeigen. Die neueste Kette von Claudi in schwarz mit den Farben ihrer Frühjahrskollektion kombiniert. Mir gefällt sie sehr gut.
Today I'll show you only to pictures. Claudia's newest pedant is a combination from black and other colours from her spring-collection. I like it very much.

Hier seht Ihr die letzten acht Dekoeier aus meiner Kollektion. Zwanzig habe ich insgesamt für den Ostermarkt hergestellt. Bin mal gespannt wie sie ankommen.
Here I show you the last eight decoration-eggs from my collection. I made twenty of them for the easter-market. I'm really looking forward to see wheather people will like them as much as I do.

Fast Wochenende/ Nearly weekend

Liebe Leser, Dear all,
wie geht's? Uns so kurz vor dem Wochenende sehr gut - sehr beschäftigt aber sehr gut. Das Wochenende wird ähnlich werden wie die Woche: viel gekünstlere :-) Alice wird ihr letztes Set Dekoeier fertigstellen, ich werde polieren, weiterschleifen und falls ich dazu komme ein paar neue Sachen kreieren und backen.
How are you? This close to the weekend we are great - busy but great. I hope you are, too. The weekend will be about the same as the week was: busy crafting. Mom will be doing a last set of her decoration eggs, I will be buffing, sanding and maybe creating and baking some new pieces if I get around to that.

Ich habe in den letzten Tagen viel geschliffen, und mein Tumbler ist auch fast heissgelaufen. Der letzte Schritt vor dem Schleifen ist bei mir das Löcher bohren - ich mache das immer erst nach dem Backen weil ich dann das Gefühl habe in Ruhe und ohne die Perlen und Anhänger kaputt zu machen entscheiden zu können wo genau ich die Löcher haben will. Da ich von Hand bohre braucht das allerdings einiges an Zeit...
I sanded a lot during those last days, and my tumbler was running hot, too. The last step before being able to buff is to drill the holes in my pedants, beads and decorations - I always do that after baking, as I feel I can better decide then what part to be up and down and left and right. With my handdrill it does take quite some time, though...

Auf der Rechten ist mein Haufen gebohrter Perlen und Anhänger. Was macht Ihr mit den PC-Spänen, die beim Bohren herausfallen? Ich wundere mich schon immer, ob man nicht irgend etwas Schönes daraus machen kann und sie recyceln, vielleicht inclusions damit machen, sie als Verzierung verwenden, oder, oder, oder... Habt Ihr Ideen - vielleicht sogar schon umgesetzt?
This is my pile of drilled beads (on the right). What do you do with the little pieces that come out of the hole? I have been wondering if they can be somehow used and recycled, maybe as inclusions or embellishment or, or, or... What have you come up with?

Grosse Schritte/ Big Steps

Liebe Leser, Dear all,

wie geht es Euch? Vergeht die Zeit für Euch auch so schnell wie für uns? Wir können es kaum fassen dass es nur noch knapp 3 Wochen sind bis zum Ostermarkt. Daher waren wir die Tage fleissig.

how are you? Is time running as fast for you the se days as it is for us? We can hardly believe it is only 3 more weeks to go until the easter market! Therefore we have been very busy these days.

Und hier sind ein paar mehr meiner Knöpfe, ich möchte ein paar in allen meinen Frühlingsfarben fertig kriegen.

Darüber hinaus habe ich erst letzte Woche meinen Ganztagesjob gekündigt. Es ist Zeit, sich zu verändern - ein komisches Gefühl nach 10 Jahren!! Trotzdem kann ich es kaum erwarten. Vorerst werde ich erstmal weiter ans schleiffen gehen damit ich morgen polieren kann damit ich viele schöne Sachen am Markt vorzeigen kann!!

Furthermore I just handed in my resignation at my day job last week. Time to move on - a very strange feeling after 10 years!! Somehow I still can't wait, though. For the time being I will keep on sanding in order to be able to move to buffing tomorrow so that I'll have lots of things to show at the market!

Nur ein kurzes Hallo/Only a short Hallo

Liebe Leser/Dear all!

heute möchte ich Euch nur kurz zeigen wie weit ich mit meinen Dekoeiern gekommen bin. Neun von zwanzig sind bis auf die Bändcheneinfassung an der Seite und die Aufhänger fertig.
today I'll show you only how far got with my easter decoration. Nine out of twenty eggs are almost finished. I have to add only the ribbon on the sides and strings to hang them up.



Claudia ist eine ganz ganz liebe Tochter. Ich wollte auch gerne so einen gedrahteten roten Jaspis haben und sie hat mir sofort einen gemacht. Ich finde ihn wunderschön und freue mich riesig darüber.
Claudia is a really lovely daughter. I wanted to have a wrapped Red Jasper, too, so Claudia immediately wrapped one for me. It's so beautiful. I love it.
