Entspannendes Wochenende/ Relaxing Weekend + Shop Question

Liebe Leser, Dear all,

wie geht es euch? Ich hoffe ihr habe ein tolles, kreatives und doch entspannendes Wochenende. Wir haben eines, haben viel geschlafen und trotzdem habe ich die Zeit gefunden einen Kundenauftrag fertig zu stellen - Wire warp Ohrringe für Anke. Sie sind passend zu einer Kette, die sie auf dem Weihnachtsmarkt gekauft hat, ich hoffe sie gefallen ihr.

how are you today? I hope you are having a great, creative though relaxing weekend. We are, have been sleeping a lot and I still had time to finish another custom order - the wire wrap earrings for Anke. They are matching a necklace she bought at the christmas market, I hope she'll like them.

Nächstes Wochenende werden wir bei meinen Eltern sein. Mutti und ich werden versuchen einige unserer Goodies in unsere Etsy, Dawanda und Ebay shops einzustellen - zur Zeit sind sie ausser ein paar Servietten absolut leer. Wir haben Schwierigkeiten zu entscheiden was wir wo einstellen und welches der Beste Marktplatz für uns sein könnte - was ist Eure Meinung dazu? Welche der Shops bevorzugt ihr, wo verkauft ihr und wo habt ihr schon gekauft?

Next weekend we'll be at my parents. Mom and me will try to put some items up in our Etsy/ Dawanda and Ebay shop, beside some napkins they are absolutely empty at the moment. We are having a little trouble deciding what to put up where and which might be the best aisle for us - would you help us out by telling us which one do you prefer? Where do you sell and where have you bought before?

Heute wird wieder ziemlich entspannend werden - so ist jedenfalls der Plan. Eventuell werde ich es schaffen nachher einen weiteren Kundenauftrag zu schleifen wenn der Rest der Familie nachher seinen Mittagsschlaf macht. Wir werden sehen.

Today will again be rather relaxing - at least that's the plan. I might get to work on sanding another custom order when the others sleep this afternoon - we'll see.

Faules Ich/ Lazy me

Liebe Leser, Dear all,
Wie geht es heute? Mir ganz gut, aber ich bin RICHTIG dankbar, dass Freitag ist!! Das Wochenende brauche ich diesmal ganz, ganz dringend. Ich freue mich auch richtig auf dieses, mein Bruder und seine Freundin besuchen uns - PC werd ich nicht viel machen können, aber geniessen werd ich es trotzdem!
how are you today?? I'm all right, but RELLY thankful it's friday!! Need the weekend badly this week.. I'm really looking forward to this one, my brother and his girlfriend are visiting, won't get too much PC done, but I'll enjoy it nonetheless!

Gestern habe ich nicht mehr geschliffen. Ich musste unbedingt Perlen wrappen (mit Draht wickeln), das konnte keine Minute länger warten. Es ist erstaunlich, was alles unbedingt gemacht werden muss sobald schleifen am Horizont erscheint. Man könnte mich dann sogar beim Staubsaugen oder spülen erwischen - was eigentlich mein Mann macht... Ich stelle die schönsten Sachen her, backe sie.... und dann liegen sie und liegen und liegen. Und liegen noch ein bisschen. Natürlich, wenn ich es dann mal durch alle 4 Schleifvorgänge geschafft habe (ich muss garnicht so lang und viel schleifen - es fühlt sich nur so lang an!!) und beim polieren bin bin ich sehr glücklich über den Unterschied, den das Schleifen gebracht hat. Geht es euch auch so? Habt ihr irgendwo einen Schleif-Sklaven gefunden (wenn ja: wo??? ;-) ) oder wie sammelt ihr eure Disziplin fürs Schleifen?
I didn't get any sanding done yesterday. Wire wrapping was the thing to do and just couldn't wait any minute longer. It's amazing where all the things that absolutely need to be done come from when I should be sanding. You might even catch me vacuuming or doing the dishes (which normally my hubby does). I will create the most beautiful things (well, at least in my eyes they are), bake them.... and then they'll just lay there forever and ever and ever. Of course, once I get to buffing (actually I do not need to sand THAT long - it just feels like forever) I am happy about the impact sanding has had. Is it the same for you? Did you find a sanding elf somewhere (if so pls. tell me where... ;- ) ) or how do you get your discipline for sanding up?

CreAtions blogging!!

Lieber Leser, Dear Reader,

unser Blog ist eröffnet!! Unser erster, eigener Blog - wir können es selbst kaum glauben.
our Blog is open!! Our very first, own blog - we hardly can believe it ourselves.

Wir - Alice und Claudia - sind nicht nur Mutter und Tochter, sondern auch "Creations" - wir stellen alle möglichen kunsthandwerklichen Gegenstände her - von Acryl- über Seidenmalerei, Home Decor in verschiedenen Techniken, bis hin zu Polymer Clay und diese in Draht fassen.
We - Alice and Claudia - are not only mother and daughter, but also "CreAtions" - and produce all kinds of handcrafted goodies, from acrylic to silk painting, home decoration in various techniques, polymer clay and wire wrapping.



Inzwischen haben wir so viel hergestellt dass wir dieses Jahr unsere ersten Weihnachtsmärkte besuchen. Der erste war dieses Wochenende, mehr darüber in den nächsten Tagen.
Meanwhile we have produced so much we were able to join the 1st christmas maket this year. It was this weekend, I plan to tell about it in the next couple of days.

Von Donnerstag den 29.11 - Sonntag den 2.12 (Freitag ist verkaufsoffen bis 23:00Uhr!!) und von Freitag den 7.12. - 9.12. sind wir in Crailsheim auf dem Weihnachtsmarkt auf dem Schweinemarktplatz zu finden und freuen uns über jeden Besuch!!

Vor kurzem habe ich einen Blog gesehen, in dem die Autorin jeden Tag teilte für was sie dankbar ist (http://www.polkadotcreations.com/blog/). Ich denke gerade in dieser grauen, deprimierenden Zeit ist es wichtig, sich aktiv vor Augen zu führen, wie gut es einem geht, was man alles hat, und für was man dankbar sein sollte - weshalb ich dies auch hier in den Blog aufnehmen möchte.
Heute bin ich dankbar für flexible Arbeitszeit - sie macht es einem nicht so schwer, wenn die ganze Familie aus Versehen verschläft...
I lately saw a blog where the author shared every day what she was thankful for (http://www.polkadotcreations.com/blog/) . In my eyes it is especially important in this grey, depressing weather to activly see how very lucky you are, therefore I'll join in that.
Today, I am thankful for flexible working hours - they make it not so hard when the whole family accidently sleeps in... :-)

Wir wollen unsere neuen Objekte hier zeigen - nicht alle, da man diese auch auf Flickr, Etsy und Dawanda bewunder können wird - aber auch unsere Arbeiten und Projekte im Fortschritt. GEdanke, Meinungen ect. teilen, Diskussionen starten usw. Nimm daran teil, wenn du magst - und geniess deine Zeit bei uns!
